Website assistant: notice for visitors
Last updated October 12, 2026
You are here because a website you visited has a chat window powered by Plazas. This short notice explains who you are talking to and what happens to what you write.
1. You are talking to an AI
The assistant is an AI program, not a person. It answers from information the business wrote for it. It can make mistakes: do not rely on it for prices, opening hours, availability or anything important without confirming with the business. It does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
2. Whose chat this is
The chat belongs to the business whose website you are on. That business decides what the assistant says and is responsible for your messages. Plazas ([COMPANY LEGAL NAME]) provides the technology and stores the conversation for that business.
3. What is saved
- The messages you write and the assistant's answers, the page the chat started on, and the time.
- A random id kept in your browser so the conversation holds together. It is not your name.
- If you ask for a person to get back to you: the name, contact detail and message you leave.
- To stop one computer or network from using up the assistant, a scrambled fingerprint of the network your message came from is kept for up to two days. Your address itself is not saved.
Conversations are deleted 90 days after their last message, or sooner if the business deletes them.
The business can read the conversation. To produce an answer, your messages are sent to the AI model provider used by Plazas. Your messages are not used for advertising and are not sold.
4. Please do not share sensitive information
Do not type passwords, card or bank details, identity numbers, health information or anything else you would not want kept. The chat is not built for it.
5. What is kept in your browser
The random id, the id of your current conversation, and the last messages so the chat is still there on the next page. You can remove them by clearing the site's data in your browser. The list is in the Cookie and storage notice.
6. Your choices
To see or delete a conversation, or for any question about your data, contact the business whose website you were on. If you cannot reach it, write to [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] and tell us which website it was; we will pass your request on. More about how Plazas handles data is in the Privacy Policy.
